A former Marine, Colonel Joe Adams received extensive training in and was then assigned to naval intelligence with top secret clearance. He later volunteered and became part of the flight crew in Southeast Asia and flew in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
He has three decades of work as a contract operative with various government agencies including the FBI, DEA, and the CIA as well as with foreign militaries friendly to the United States working and training with French Foreign Legion, Australian SAS, Delta Force, US Army Special Forces, NATO, Canadian Police Tactical Units among others.
He deployed around the world fighting and toppling totalitarian governments, dictatorships, and communism. He also was part of numerous black operations many of which are classified to this day.
In the early 80’s, Colonel Adams worked with the CIA and the Contras fighting the Communist government in Nicaragua. He was a figure in the Iran-Contra investigation because he led a series of combat operations inside Nicaragua. Rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel, he became Head of Security and personal bodyguard for Dr. Adolfo Callero, the leader of the Contra Rebels. Dr. Callero was President Ronald Reagan’s choice for the first Democratic President of Nicaragua.
In 1986, Lt Colonel Adams worked with the South African Defense Forces in Johannesburg, South Africa as an Anti-Terrorist due to the wave of murders and kidnappings terrorizing the population.

In the late 80’s, working again with the CIA, he received a commission as Colonel with the Burma Liberation Expeditionary Forces fighting the military junta dictatorship in Burma who had closed the universities and imprisoned the Nobel Peace Prize Recipient Aung Sun Suu Kyi. Colonel Adams organized and trained and led commandos for an all-student revolutionary group called the Democratic Alliance Burma Army.
His final military overseas deployment, in 1991, was as Training Commander, Colonel, First Special Forces Group, 2nd Brigade, Croatian Rangers. Again, he organized, trained and lead his Rangers behind enemy lines to fight the communist dictatorship during the War in the Balkans as Croatia fought successfully for independence. Colonel Adams’ Rangers were said to have “changed the face of the war”.
Back in the states, he then spent almost three decades as an international private investigator. He captured numerous fugitives including a Top 10 Wanted by FBI, recovered missing and exploited children and orchestrated the release of Americans detained or incarcerated in foreign prisons.
In 2008, due to the crisis on our southern border, Colonel Adams founded Project Bluelight, an anti-terrorist intelligence operation in support of United States Border Patrol agents in the field.
The Project Bluelight Scouts, under his command, are directly responsible for coordinating the apprehension of over 10,000 persons entering this country illegally from 126 foreign countries including fifteen terrorist states, tons of narcotics, countless weapons and explosive devices and rescued from the drug cartels over 1,000 women and children destined for the human and sex slave trade industry. For this achievement, he has been nominated for the Civilian Medal of Honor. He also received the Heroes of Freedom and Liberty award.
